Tons of texture. To my limited ear all the elements seem nice and defined. I heard an aggregate hiss but, that could just be me.

the left side keys (?) were simple but, perfect!!

I didn't care for the lead git tone. I think a more organic and natural sound would sit better with the rest of this nicely built tune.

Just some thoughts,

Theron.

I put fresh clean water in the bong for this one..

I liked it..

I thought I heard some noise or hiss or something.. I just read theron's post and he hears it too..

cool tune..

I just spun one for the listen. Very cool tune. I mean very cool. What a great mood it makes. The tremolo guitar is too cool for school. I dig the phase shifter effect on the lead too. I thought I heard a glitch or something in the drums. Are they a loop?

Listened on PC speakers{cheap$}..Cool tune..I'd move the vox back a tad{db}..nice job!

thats me playing everything. thats why the timing sucks and theres a time warp.

i hope youre only smoking legal preparations!

i could probably use some "special tobacco" myself. it would probably help my timing!

the hiss is the metal guiro. i kept it going constantly through the whole thing. ive been waiting for a chance to use it ha ha ha. it helps with the wall of sound that i go for to hide the timing errors. it doesnt work.

im glad yous like it! im going to try to fix the timing probs for next time...

:)

Yeah..the tune does have a cool vibe to it. The lead guitar is kinda "biting" to me and a tad loud. As cool as the drums sound, they sound like an old set where you just loosened all the heads until they were really flabby. Neat sound, but on the next song, they're gonna have to change:eek: I can hear the Morrison references...but when he sang quietly. I did like the cheezy organ sound and the picked gtr. A couple of timing things with the drums too. You got the feel...just need to clean up a couple loose ends to make it really get all these bong smokers waste away!!!

OK all you pot heads.....!!! Dave's at the door!!!!

Cooool!

I really dug the lead/melody guitar sound, what did you use?
Smooth groove!

Better watch that peanut butter man,it'll kill ya!
What's yours smooth or chunky,I'm a chunky man myself!
(Unless o'course I got the munchies,than anything goes!):D

Best to you,
Pete

My momma told me specifically not to listen to any song lyrics about peanut butter, but I did anyway.

This one has a late night Doors feel to it--sort of in a Peanut Lizard King kind of way. I liked everything except that the drums sounded kind of distant and there were early reflections coming off the walls or something. Other than that I have no complaints.

Oh, Jeap--my mamma was wrong!

the original title was "super chunk" but i thought that would give it away too fast. i like chunky!

the lead guit is just a clean humbucker with flange.

i guess i tend to put vocals and melody instruments up in the mix. i check levels using the low volume technique and adjust so it sounds balanced at a really low volume.

i cant fix the timing probs so what i want to do is get a dr sample and sample my drums and sequence them. ill never be a real drummer. i think its genetic or something. i cant stand most drum machine sounds.

thanks for all your help!

:)

ha ha the drums were disatant miked by accident and i liked it. theres not enough bottom cause the mic was behing me and the low end got swallowed by me myself.

i worked on the placement and got a great sound - a little closer and with meat - but i cant get my timing down so im giving up. thats it. no more.

the reflections were probly the heavy reverb...

peanut butter lizard king???????

sounds like a song!!!!!!!

:)

Im diggin the tune too. The whole penut butter thing is great, and that guitar solo is beautiful.

everybody gets writers credit!!!!!!

ha ha ha that should work out to about one 6 billionth of nothing!!!!!

i was a little hesitant about the peanut butter thing but i guess its ok to sing about it! i got a big jar of jif and celebrated!

:)
