While it was apart.....

While it was apart ,I blew it out with an air duster can and cleaned all the pots/contacts and sliders with electrical contact cleaner. Not bad for a machine I originally purchased broken for 25 bucks. Everything is fully functional now! Cheers,

LOL! That would've been hilarious if your dog would've marked it as he went by.

....

Are you gonna put the functions and nomenclature back on with labelling tape? What about the "automation" section? Needs to be labelled, I think.

Dude, you gave me a rude nightmare painting that thing like the US-428!;)

Yeah, maybe the "automation" section would be a good idea (although I really don't know, or use that section anyway . I thought about labeling it with those old school label tape guns. Dymo, or whatever it's called. That'd be funny. But the rest of the machine I have memorized!

At first, I thought you might have been in the military! Like some kinda flashbacks or something......Maybe the US-428 was some kinda top secret submarine.........But then I found out it's a newfangled computer inface gizmo....Yuk!! WAKE ME UP!!! Somebody!!......WAKE ME UP!! :p
No really, it's simular but it wasn't intentional my any means!:D

Us-428

I had the US-428 as an experimental foray into 'puter recording. It didn't work well, and I hated it. Returned it to GC and bought a 424mkIII instead, which is fine. Since then, I've referred to the US-428 as the "blue slug".;)

There's the Brother P-Touch labeller, which will give you printed labels in all sorts of colors,... but more modern than old school Dymo tape. Brother P-Touch labels could give you black text on clear tape, which is what I'd suggest.;)
