we don't need rest!!
my last look...their stock was at $.71. Not too far back it seemed, they at least where in the ballpark of staying afloat. Is this an indication of being "smudged" out of the computer software market? Would a stand-alone, new version of CD arch. bring back hope?

They're at $.49 right now. That would totally fuckin blow if they tanked.

if they fall they did it to themselves...I DARE you to search my username at the sf vegas forums and look at the silly troubles we still have in this third genration of Vegas...however, they ARE an amazing innovative company, and all in all I still think vegas is the BEST softweare for the type of work I do

this is about the coolest news I have heard about software in a loooooooong time. I would die without my CD arch now (I bought it when if basically first came out, and my 4x CDr Plextor drive). I have burnt ONE coaster...I repeat...ONE coaster with this burner/software combination, and that was early on...and kinda might contribute that to my fault, for some reason. I'd estimate I've burnt a good 1500 CDs or more, and I just hate hearing stories about how others had their burners die. I kinda figured when mine did, CD Arch would go with it, as I wouldn't be able to find a supported burner. THIS IS JUST GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!

you HAVE TO keep us posted on this!! ..if you get the beta version

Yep, this is great news! I downloaded it and will give it a spin asap. I just hope there aren't too many bugs floating around in there!

If anyone hears or finds any issues, please post!

I noticed last night when I went to their site.

I was coming into this forum to post a new thread for it.

;)

Wow, that's pretty wild. In a world of corporate acquisitions and takeovers, I wonder if some other company is waiting to snatch them up.

Better yet, maybe they'll open source a product or two and I can start using Linux for my recording...

I wish. Acid on Linux, and my life would be complete.

what happens if sf dies

i'm new to this list but i have been using vegas for a couple of years now....my question is, what happens to the lisencing bs if they go belly up....could we load software into multiple machines without lisencing it'? also, i'm on my third operating system with vegas pro, and i would like to hear ideas about what is the best windows for it.....anyone had much experience with the microphone mirroring software that comes with acoustic mirror....does the new software that replaces vegs pro look basically the same....thanks, crobx

18 Days that is almost as bad as Pro Tools SHITE. Anyone got a crack?

The only reason I ever used CD Fartitech was to do crossfades, I've been getting along with Wavelab for CD burning for duplication.

If 4.0g had not have stopped working under XP I'd have no problem, under 2000 it saw all my burners. :p

Anyways this is kinda nifty, it MIGHT help ressurect Sonic Foundry, that is, if they don't charge 500 bucks for this thing like last time.

:p  :p     :p
