A few voice lessons wouldn't hurt. :D

I didn't say that.

I'll tell the band that like 10 guys at homerecording.com all told me the vocals need to come up (and less verb).

Might give me some added ammunition.

I'm still happy as all hell over how it all came out. What really drives the song to me are the guitars during the faster, heavier parts, and those parts kinda' get my adrenalyn kicking.

I give myself at least a 4 since everything that was actually within my control wound up sounding better, probably, than anything I've ever tracked, mixed, and/or produced.

Make it 11 :D

This is some damn cool music though and it sounds great...Nice job!!!

Excellent space, chess!

I thought the upper bass was a bit hot at first so I rolled my chair back a bit and it sounded fine. Then I rolled it forward again and it still sounded OK. Hmmmm.....

All the instruments are definately sharing the same space though. Now if we could just get that singer out from behind the the rest of the band....

:D

The recording and mix works for me. The song is way way too cool for me to nitpick on any details.

nice stereo drum track.

i swear, i'm coming over to record some drum tracks once i get a real set, some songs, and........some money.

i don't care how young or old you are.......those vocals gotta come up! i couldn't understad a thing they were saying. the singer sounds a little like the white stripes.

Interesting tune.
Recording is clean.
Maybe the BG guitar around 1:45 (whakka whakka) is a bit loud, and in turn drowning out the rest of the mix.
Drums are slightly low. They are spread nicely.
It just seems when the slightly distorted guitar(s) come in they are a bit overbearing. (IMVHOP)

The singer just seems to be well..... not really singing very loud and that must have been a challenge.

It is an interesting piece.
