I can get MMJB 10 Plus Recorder to rip tracks from my PC CD player and make files in my My Music folder. Titles, artists, format, all appear as advertised. When I drag one of these songs from the My Music folder to the MMJB Playlist, the song title and artist appear and the little slider icon starts moving to the right, the number of seconds starts accumulating, but I get no sound. I get sound if I use another recorder to rip the tracks to my My Music, like iTunes, Roxio or Windows Media Player. These play OK on MMJB Playlists, and MMJB tracks play OK on them, but tracks ripped on the MMJB Recorder to My Music don't play on the MMJB Playlist.

I can also drag the files I made with MMJB Recorder to iTunes or WMP and they display titles and play fine. Play Control and Recording Control panels are not muted, Analog Mix selected.

I've got plenty of power for all this, ABS Ultimate M5^64, 64GB motherboard, Athlon 64 Processor, 3400 +1MB L2 Cache 64 bit 2ea 512 MB, 500 GB of hard drive, Audigy 2ZS sound card and Windows XP Pro.

This worked OK last summer, but I had to reinstall my OS twice this winter. The ABS tech finally told me not to allow Microsoft to download security updates automatically, but to do it manually once a week or so. Since this fiasco, the MMJB won't play its own recordings.

I'd like to scrub MMJB completely, but they're the only package that has an "Auto Song Detect" (I can hear all the groans,) feature that I hope to use for an archiving project, but first I've got to get this simple play malfunction fixed.

I've un-installed MMJB and re-installed several times, and the Audigy software twice, too.
