I scored a few mics...

I scored a few good mics now off of a buddy, and this is how I think i'm going to set it up:

Snare (2) SM 57 mics, one above the rim and one under the snare
Toms (2) PG56, one for each tom
Cymbals (2) AT3035 one on left, one on the right
ATG D112 for the kick

I think this is how i'm going to set this up, with a lot of mic placement making sure I get no Phase problem. If anyone has any tips or think I should change the set up, please post:)

Personally, I never mic the underside of the snare. It seems to just get more hi hat into the mics. I'd take the extra 57 and put it on the resonant head of the kick with the D-112 inside. I'd put the overheads in an X-Y config about two and a half drum stick lengths above the snare more or less centered above the kit. Less chance of phase problems that way.
