Taming the World--for now
This is what I've been doing all weekend. Regulars here will remember that I wrote this in January for the February Challenge but decided to enter Brenda's Boy instead. This is called I Can Hold You. I had fun with it but don't know if it will make the cut (no pun) for my next album. Enjoy and suggest. That's what we do here. Thanks, Dave. (aka up-fiddler)

The song has been tweaked and pulled into submission courtesy of the fine folks at Wavelab. Here is an update at MorehouseSongs for those of you who have trouble with the other site.

Absolutely love the vocals on this - very expressive and melodic. The pause before the chorus needs something....maybe a horn phrase....to fill in the gap. Rest of this is great, well worth the time spent in the studio!

Dave,
I can't get it to play - tries to install QTime on my comp - which causes some complications with other devices. Any other link available?
Cheers

Sorry for the inconvenience. I changed it so it won't try to autostart so that it might work for you now. In any event I will post it to my morehousesongs site once it is in final form. Thanks for trying though.

It will work here if you are having trouble elsewhere.

Dave,
The synth horns suggest a VERY Dexy's Midnight Runners arrangement. The melody would work a treat with a choppier elec guitar and the strut Dexy's did so well.
I have to agree with Ido about the space before the chorus - but I'd be hesitant as it'll need to be just so to work.
COOL SONG with heaps of potential.
