its not that bad, but the bass sounds out of tune in places. the balance is pretty decent, the vocals sound good too. the kick disappears in some places though.

Typing as I am listening -

Guitars sound kind of distant and muddy, an overall kinda lo-fi vibe to it (maybe what you are after?) Snare seems to be disconnected from the rest of the kit. Vocals too. I'd like to hear the vox a bit louder. The whole mix seems to be a bit on the darker side. You know, it's a pretty decent song, and the recording is decent, but it just doesn't seem to be "glued", and I can't quite put my finger on it.

One question, is that snare a sample? It sounds like it's sampled, but the rest of the kit does not, so I am not sure.

It sounds much better than on Myspace.

You know, I just listened again with my volume cranked, and it sounds much better. Maybe the whole mix would benefit from a little volume boost? The snare and vox, level wise, are much better at louder volume, but still don't "sit". One last thing, it seems that maybe there are just too many guitar parts going at once? Or slightly out of time maybe?

Anyway, catchy tune - I dig it.

thanks, im glad you like the song, thats my band (you probebly guessed that) as for the sound, yeah it does sound better louder, what is it that causes this problem? and no the snare is not sampled, i guess i just squished the hell out of it and it came out that way, not really sure if thats good or bad?

As for other issues, a lot of it comes down to how we played it, honestly we didnt spend eneough time PLAYING really tight, were the song fails is definetly a performance issue. but as for the sounds i got out of what i had to work with, im pretty happy, that was literally the second song i EVER recorded in logic with all my "gear".

I like the song. But kind of hazy overall... this is a 320 kbps mp3 but it sounds like lower resolution.

I like the intensity of the drum performance. Vocal's very good. The gtrs and bass need more clarity - they sound hazy. Drumset also needs more clarity and balls tone-wise.

a bump is when someone posts in your thread in order to bring it back to the top of the list so other people can see it better. some people are too lazy to look past the first few posts on a page...

A bump is just a post to "bump" the thread back to the top of the list, so more people will see it. I was bumping it to help you get some more reviews - I was one of the people who said you'd get more help in here, and it's been kinda slow. That's how it is here though, - some days a lot of replies, sometimes zip.
