I see deaf people
use whatever you are comfortable with...Ive used the clips for remixing and for getting ideas down but nearly all my recording is done in the arrangement view nowadays...just easier to see whats going on
I think just seeing how a bass works with a drum beat is great in the clip view, and I have recorded songs this way before, but I just like to be able to see the whole track in front of me now
if you feel its not doing what you want then try something else...but just because you dont use part of it doesnt mean its not for you imo
