I need your help drawing out an EQ/Freq graph

I want to learn about mixing and so on and what to cut to make the guitar shine through and so on, so far when I hear people rattle off what to cut adn what this freq tends to do or boosting teh EQ here will do this and so on, it all confuses me and shuts my brain down,

So I figure if I draw out a graph so I can look at these FREQ and see were they are, that I can remember tham and see patterns or relashionships,

can you guys help me draw out a couple different graphs?

maybe one with EQ - showing what numbers are were or with the Freq or anything else that may help?

Sorry I think I explained that wrong and what my purpose was for these graphs,

There basically for studying when Im at work, I want to read about what HZ that the guitar tends to hang out with and what FREQ bass and guitar share and so on....................

Basically, when I hear people rattle off numebers and HZ and so on, they go in one ear and out the other,

So I figured if I had a graph that shows me were those FREQ lay and so on, than I can maybe remeber them better by seeing were those Hz are on the graph,

So anyone who could help me with a graph of HZ and other stuff would be appreciated, Im new to the mixing world so for all I know, the graph may be something that coulndt even be drawn out, But I gotta start somewere!

Theres alot of great info there, Im going to check it out and study it after this post,

the graph Im talking about though, would be like a EQ graph were it shows all your lows and mids and highs, but also its show lines running through it representing the FREQ so I can see were on teh graph 1000 HZ lays and so on,

this graph may not even be possible, like i said Im new to this but if I could get a graph liek this that would be great!
 
Thought I would jump in here just to add that I am a "chart head" at work and when I can visualize things they tend to make more sense. So I agree with Video on this one. Chart it!

I am new to the mixing and recording with the band I'm in and after buying a new mixing board (Behringer UB2442FX) thought it would be a snap. WRONG!

I use n-Track, and what I thought I would do is record different pieces of the band as solo tracks and view their response on the EQ graph generated by n-Track. This will give me an idea of where each sound lives.

Great stuff here. I have the problem with "mud" and this looks like it might take me down the path to clean it up.

Why don't you just look at your tracks on a spectral analyzer?
