the band is practicing here (in my basement) Sunday and for laughs (a learning experience) i'd like to record the rehearsal just to see how well I can do. I've got a decent PC, Sonar HS 6, various mics, a small behringer mixer, a multitude of drum sets, and Roland V-Drums (I'm the drummer obviously) 
i've never recorded more than just myself (on the drums or keys) on one track at a time...
just need some pointers on mic placement, etc
