get a peavey wolfgang guitar. Its set up exactly like eddies...from the factory (part of what peavey aggreed to). Get a peavey 5150 to play it through. If that dosen't make you sound like eddie van halen...its your fault. I make no bones about recomending peavey...its great sounding, extreamly tough and road worthy, gianing more and more of the market share every year, MADE IN THE U.S.A.,!! and last but not least...some of my friends work for peavey.

im from mississippi and proud we have a company thats good enough to attract eddie van halens buisiness. He could have gotten any company in the world....he chose peavey.

and don't forget that MXR phase 90.....the orange one with one knob....intergral....(oh...and the Eddie smile :D )

Hey Aaron we all know that the only reason you wanted to be Eddie 20 years ago was for Valerie waiting at home.

what kind of guitar are you playing amt? just wondering. Im a strat player myself.

I don't know if peavey has service reps in every state, it would surprize me if they didn't. Peavey has really been good to me, if a peice of equipment goes out (extreamly rare)...i can drive to meridian and they will fix it on the spot while i wait. I have only had to get one piece of equipment fixed (a 12 channel MD series mixer). They fixed it while i waited...asked me if i wanted a soda or some coffee. The repair took 30 minutes...it needed a $5.00 part. They charged me $5.00 (and the mixer wasn't under warranty) and gave me back the defective part. I have never seen them charge labor to fix a piece of thier equipment. They stand behind thier equipment and pamper thier customers. I have a cs 800 amp i bought in 1981 (used) and its still going strong. When it goes out I take the top cover off and take it to the local gas staition and blow the dust out with the air hose...then its like brand new again. Peavey amps are built like a tank!!! They have built in protection against uneven voltage and ground problems with the a buildings wiring (example: Your playing a gig and the mic shocks your lips when they touch it). Also dead grounds....like the positive and negative speaker wires touching...don't phase a peavey amp . I fried an alexis power amp with that (ground problem in a monitor) a month ago.

A friend of mine works has a tech consultant job there and he told me he has been on the phone with eddie van halen all week (this was a couple of months ago). He won't tell me what they are up to, just that they've got something in the works.

WOW!! SO Peavey is re-unioning with Eddy!!! Can't wait to see the results!! So they seem to be pretty neat Company. You seem to speak highly fo them.

As for me I got a IBANEZ DX320. It's pretty fast. Though I been jamming guitar for almost 20 years, This is only my second guitar(Can you belive that?). It's primarily due to my poverty(like I mentioned in my fist post).
Anyway, I am quite happy with the 320 for now. I just need a better amp. I should be ready for another guitar soon. I will check out Peavey. Thanks man ;)
