I Need Someone to redo recording

i have a recording I am working on with a student who doesnt speak english, I would really like to record vocals on this but need it to have some more input first, can anyone help please.
 
I suppose you want to plug a mike in and record. What soundcard do u use? Usually there´s a mixer with the soundcard that you can display on the screen. Select on the Record mixer Mike. Enable record and Audio on a VST channel of Cubase. Make sue the locators are not activated where u don´t want them.

Thankyou for your replies, I have just bought a new soundcard and behringer mixer but thats not my problem, I needed someone to rewrite the cubase midi. I can't find the original anywhere since formatting my harddrive! Thanks in advance for any assisitance you offer
