This may sound pretty stupid but I've never been taught anything about recording.
What do I need to do in order to successfully mix a track so that it sounds some what professional?
I use
EZ Drummer, DFH plugin
POD XT LIVE
ESP KH3
Dean DFH
Cubase SX3
Midi Bass, Guitar Rig 2 plugin
Whenever I attempt to mix/master a track I've recorded these are the steps I'll take
1) Edit each individual sound wave by taking out unwanted noise/crackles etc
2) Use Graphic EQs to try set a better sound for guitars, drums and bass
Well thats actually about it haha
I just need some advice on how to get the final product sounding decent.
Any help would be appreciated.
I could post a track up if that would help.
