i need mics i dont care what kind they are just try not to give me a piece of crap..i dont have alot of money so i am willing to pay shipping and handeling

this is only if you want to donate them

if you do it would be awsome
god bless

well, kinda my initial reaction too, but then i remembered that there was a lot of generosity going on here around the holidays. perhaps someone will help this person out.
i have no mics that i am willing to give away, but for little more than the cost of shipping you can get some karma k-micros: http://www.karmamics.com/kmicro.html
some naiant mics: http://www.naiant.com/studiostore.html
or some gls-57s or 58s:

You should lower your expectations to also accept pieces of crap. It is free after all. If you had a little bit of money ($15-25) I had some okay mics I'd be willing to part with (audio technica, better Realistics, some other oddball brands that sound pretty okay).

Put your $50 towards the Niant MSH-1's.

I A/B'd them with my Earthworks. The difference was not that much.

What leddy said. I don't have any Naiant mics but I've only heard good about them.
Don't be afraid to use mics you might think suck. Just because it says 'Realistic' doesn't ALWAYS mean it's horrible. I've got a pair of old Realistic dynamics that I actually often let bands use (at the Ballroom, not the studio) instead of SM58s, for drummers and whatever who don't sing all the time, because of the switches.

Or you can try and ebay a used SM58 for around that price. Last one I bought, I bought off ebay new for around $65.

Yay +1 for the MSH-1's, I love mine :)

those links are to buy them new-- i'm not offering them for sale. my point is that they are pretty cheap-- the k-micros are $5 plus shipping, naiants $22 plus shipping and the els-57's/58's are $30 plus shipping. i've used the k-micros and naiants and they are both very good deals for the money, though not ideally suited for vocals. i haven't used the els mics, but an els-58 or 57 would be better for that, based on used reviews here and on other mb's

eBay is your friend. I recently got a 58, a PE66L, and a Beyer M400 (which I absolutely LOVE) for $145, I think.

The M400 is a wonderful mic, totally underrated.

Totally. I'd never even heard of it before I saw the listing.

I've got an M300. I bring it to every live show. Sounds wonderful for live performance AND I don't have to share mouth space with everyone who's ever played that bar. A nice top end for sure, it doesn't get all muddled up with mids like a lot of mics I've used live have. But let's keep this underwraps so we can snipe more. Wink wink, nudge nudge.
