Hello Everyone,
This is my first time hear at homerecording.com. I have a little dilema, recently i was given a recording mixer as a gift, this mixer seems to be discontinued in production I cant find anything on it on the internet, its a Suansui MX-12 ( I know I never heard of it either, but beggers can't be choosie!) Its an analog board. I'm very new to the whole recording industry. I just started going to school for Music Electronic Technology here in NYC. I have just started to build my project studio, so far I have a keyboard ( Yamaha DGX 300) , Recording Mixer (Sansui MX-12), Computer (Compaq Presario 5000, Windows ME), & USB Midisport 2x2 (2in/2 out USB MIDI interface). I'm trying to build the studio little by little (equipment is not cheap!). I have a few question wth things that I need help with, if anyone would be so kind to help me i would really appreciate it =).
1.What is the next piece of equipment that i would have to buy in order to get this thing up and running (mulititrack etc...)
2. Is there a way that i can send analog signals through a transducer in order for it to become digital?
3. Can you recommend a certain software that i can install to my computer (Compaq Persario 5000, Windows ME)?
4. Can you recommend any other hardware that i can utilize at the moment?
