I Need Help !

Hello fellow musicians,
I recently bought myself an aardvark direct pro 24/96, and I desperately need help:

1. For some odd reason, I cannot get my musicmatch jukebox to work anymore---it keeps saying that my soundcard is in use by another application although I don't have cubase or any other program on (besides the aardvark montor) !

2. When I import new beats onto FruityLoops, the beats don't properly play, and they lag---this is only the case w/ beats that range up to 7 seconds long.

Whats really bothering me is that I was using this really crappy consumer-level soundcard prior to getting the aardvark, and that sucker could give me playback from musicmatch, playback from FruityLoops, And recording capabilites---all simultaneously. Suddenly, with this new soundcard, it seems that it's not meant for anything BUT recording on software---How can I get my musicmatch to work and how can I fix my FruityLoops Problemo ! ! ! !

I hope this email didn't put y'all to sleep, but imagine how u would feel if you weren't able to get going with your music project!

you need to look thru the config of the new card and old. you can still use the old for system sounds, matchbox, etc... and the new card for recording and playback only.
 
Stealth, thanks for the input. My main concern is the fact that aardvark should have way more advanced capabalities opposed to my old default soundcard. I am surprised that if I want to use fruityloops/musicmatch/cubase all at one time, I would have to divide responsibility between the two soundcards. Especially considering the old soundcard was handling everything just fine on it's own before---I have made some fantastic recordings direct into that crappy little thing.
My main question is, are there people out there who are using their soundcard for both playback/recording in programs such as cubase/fruityloops/along with music jukeboxes all at the same time.
Btw---I saw Waters In The Flesh live in San jose and Bramhall was alot of fun :cool:
