I need help

Hi I'm new to this whole recording arena. I'm looking for any help in the digital recording area using my PC recording multiple spound i.e drums bass and guitar (best if cheapest hardware available could be recommended).

My specs are AMD K6-2 450
64 MB SDRAM
Voodoo3 2k
MX300 sound card
WD HDD 6G
