I've had this problem before, the sound of my picking came through the amp (not from me actually picking). coincedently it was through a mesa boogie nomad.
I think* that it was solved by eqing the sound out-if that makes sense.

Its a guitar amp! You shouldn't have to EQ out the sound of the pick hitting the strings. BTW your not using one of those picks that is made from recycled cymbals are you? I've owned many amps and many guitars and have never had this problem.

Cool, so now we're on to natural noises coming through the amp- which I agree, it's more likely. Specially' if it's high gain = squashed = small sounds about as loud as the main sound.
It's easy to have happen. In fact intentionally for effect. A ya need to do is turn the pick a bit or get your fingers in there.

Well since Miclain hasn't been back for two days, and hasn't posted samples of the recording........well, maybe it was never really an issue or we should wait to hypothesize. We don't even know what sound he was going for. We may confuse the dood by guessing.

Sorry, It was supposed to email me when you guys post here but for some reason it did it before then just stopped letting me know. Just letting you know, I don't play with super high gain, and it is not the pick attack coming through the amp because I know what that sounds like, this is a different noise. I will be back home with my studio on monday the 11th.
