Does anyone has very good bd and snare soundfonts for metal mixing??

What midi application do you use?

The drums soundfont in GM has a number of drum styles and all you need to do is keep changing the patch number till you get that right sounding drum kit you want.

problems with the file

Hey James...listen
I downloaded Gold Drums.Their extension is .sfpack and I renamed it to .sf2 because Halion couldn't read it with the ".sfpack".The problem is that GD can't be read by halion again.
What you thing I should do??

Thanx

...Well, you can't just rename it... :D .sfpack is special compression file for .sf2 . It works kinda like .zip files. You must extract it. What do you need is SFPACK utillities to uncompress it. You can download for free here :

http://www.thesoundsite.net/utillist.tml

Look at the bottom. It's there. Use this utillity to uncompress, the result will be .sf2 file. ;) Hope it helps...
