I am a beginner in terms of all hardware equipment and all i know about production at the moment is generating music on computers through tracking and a bit through a midi keyboard. ive been using fruityloops 4 and cubase for about 5 months and i was wondering if anyone had any tips on what hardware would be a good investment to continue producing (synth drum machine or mayb sequencer). I make hardhouse, house and Dnb.
I need something which i can use in conjunction with my PC and these programs eg. using samples and beats and possibly some synth sounds from my computer (which is pretty powerful), and then using them in conjunction with a sequencer or a sampler or something (thats what i need advice on). At the moment i also use a basic midi keyboard. The reason i decided to look towards hardware is because fruityloops and all these other programs begin to sound to tacky due to the standard of quality compared to using hardware, rather than PC's, for making pro music.
only got 250-300 quid to spend, any advice on what i should purchase for the moment?
