Hey guys,

I own Peavey's PV8 usb mixer, and I just use it for home recordings, not for live sets. Well, I've noticed that I cannot monitor my vocals while tracking, and listen to the other tracks at the same time without a huge latency problem. At least not at the same time, I have to chose which I want to do. I contacted Peavey about the issue, and it turns out in order to achieve this, I'd have to make modifications to it, voiding the warranty, and I'm no professional.

So, I'd appreciate it if you guys recommended to me some usb mixers that have the ability to monitor vocals, and the other tracks while recording(to tell you the truth I thought this came as a standard feature). The reason it has to be usb is I'll be using it an an interface, and I want my computer to recognize it as an external sound card, and record everything through it into the computer.(I used to use a Fast Track Pro as my interface, but felt like I should just cut out the extra step, since the 2 things essentially had the same function. Want to be tidy here! Not to mention other issues I ha with the FTP).

Anything 8-16 channels is fine. The reason I bring this to you is I'm hoping you have firsthand experience with it, because otherwise that mixer could have a falsely advertised or misleading feature as well.

Thanks guys!

Since this mixer (and most other USB mixers) only has a stereo output, do you really need the 8-16 input channels?
