Hey All...

can anyone recommend a mixer for me. I have a price range of about 4-5 hundred,little more,little less. I need it for 8 track recording and possible stage work. BUT....I need something that would give me direct outputs , Post fader? Well, what I mean is that I can send channel 1-8 to 8 different destinations, while having control with the fader itself and it be its own seperate signal. Thanks !!

Check out a Mackie... Like a CR 1604 or something.... I have one of them and they come pretty cheap, but are decent....

I do believe an Alesis Studio 24 will fit that bill. It's a pretty sweet mixer, but do have a look at that mackie vox mentioned. If can deal with 6 channels with outs on em, then go for a mackie 1402. The pre's are good, and since you're going direct out you won't have to worry about the EQ on it. :rolleyes:

Yeah, I have been thinking about an Alesis. I have a Eurorack from Behringer now and I only have MAIN OUT l/R and Aux . so, I am looking for something that will give me outputs on seperate channels

i have a Behringer eurorack MX 2004A which only costs $250 and it works just fine for me, you should check it out if your on a tight budget like me , lol
..::Bye::..

I recommend a Mackie 1402 or a 1604. With the 1402 you get 6 mic preamps with direct outs on each, plus you get the Alt 3/4, so there's your 8 outs. You can also have another 2 outs with the Aux 1 and 2, so If you need 10 discrete outs the Mackie 1402 fits the bill. Your budget is right in the range of the 1402, but if you need to save a bit on the cash, the 1202 can get 8 outs (4 direct outs, Aux 3/4 and Aux 1 and 2).

I use a Soundcraft SX nice pre-amps and features post and pre selector for the direct outs, the only thing i dont like about it is the power connector (which im about to replace).
But sounds sweet mate :)
