I need a mic for vocals AND instruments

I know the difference between the Shure Sm58 en Sm57 has come up a lot and I think I read every thread there is about..
I've been recording vocals through a Sennheiser e825s going to my V-amp2 for too long now. I decided to spend some money on better gear.
I've already bought a DMP3 but I need a decent mic to go with it. Reading this forum brought me to the Shure sm57 or sm58. It seems they are nearly identical except the '58 has a popfilter so he would be better for vocals. I'd also like to record some acoustic guitar with the same mic (since I don't want to spend even more on a seperate mic), but for this the '57 is recommended. I'll use it for vocals more then for instruments but still. I'm also a little worried that the '58 won't get a very good proximity effect..
Any suggestions?
