I got stuck in a bind and needed a multi-track editor at my office last week. My demo of Samplitude on my work pc had expired so that left me downloading the 21 day fully functional CEP 2.0. I had tried it at home and wasn't all that impressed. I'm still a CEP die hard, but I was a bit put off by their timelyness and how v2.0 compared to Nuendo and Samplitude (not fair, I know....)

Anywho, the old features combined with the new features saved my phat @ss. CEP is still the easiest editor/multi-tracker to work with and now all of my complaints about the old version are no longer. I'm going to run it past the powers that be to get this on my work pc full time. (I don't need nuendo or samplitude for doing audio for power point presentations.)

Damn!

I'd take any job that required me to have CEP on my office PC.

Might even take a salary cut! :-)

I love the new CEP, I'm not hyped up too much about the new features but I love that I have less problems with this vs. 1.2a and its alot faster. I also love that if you have Undo enabled it doesn't have to set it up like before.

The FX in the multitrack is perty cool but I don't have too much use for it for what I do. I love the metronome, it makes recording a little bit more easier. CEP's new look is alot better than the previous look but I really don't like that shiny look but thank god its optional.

My overall view is that 2.0 is better suited for me than the previous versions. I hope the updates have some more cooler stuff.

It provides you with a click track to play to - you set the tempo and the meter and the particular sound you want the metronome to have, and when you click on play or record, you hear that sound at the tempo you set.

The advantage of the metronome over an ordinary click track is that the metronome, unlike the click track, doesn't take up a track when you're recording.
