Guess what fam, this group that my cousin is in got a connect with DJ Greg Street, who hangs with DJ Kay Slay. My cousins group want me to be their in house producer and i gotta get their demo together soon. I hope they do make it so i can get them dollars and get my productions out there. I'm excited! :D

i got connections too but its like...you have to show them that you are able and that you can get the job done just as good as any pro...because i know ppl are willing to hire others just like them that can get the job done good then hire some over priced person..

Work hard and give it your best and just a word of advice keep a level head just in case it doesn't work out.

Trust me it's comming from experience.

Good Luck

my fingers are crossed for ya too homie. just remember, once you get that first foot in the door...don't drag the other one, hit the ground running and don't look back

Good luck homie.Keep that level head tho and map out your moves.Imagine yourself in different situations so you know for sure what to say and what to do.Preparation is the key.

Thanks for the support fam! As far as music production, i'm not cocky or nothing but i got that! Believe me, i'm going to straight kill them 3 demo songs!!! It's just i gotta give these guys theyre own sound. What i've noticed about them so far is that they are writing about the same stuff that we hear on the radio every day. I should be talking to them all together this week and i'm gonna explain to them we have more than enough rappers rapping about that right now. What's gonna get them signed is coming with a fresh sound but still keep the heads noddin. I'm gonna try to imprint in their minds to write meaningful lyrics and make sure every line makes sense. I'm also going to explain how being an artist gives these guys a chance to spread a message to a mass audience and to really think about what they have to say. I'm like if my names gonna be on it, it's got to be bangin, case closed.! :D I know yall feel me on that.

i feel u on that but like it's been said "you cant change a players game in the 9th inning" you feel me....... make sure it bang but the dudes yo workin wit aint goin go from the ying yang twins to lupe and still be nice ya dig...... just make sure u do what u gotta do to get yourself out there.... bein a producer means as long as the track knock and the songs themselves get play u goin get clientel..... sure u dont want them to sound exactly the same but if they already got a chance wit the sound they already got changin it could be detrimental to not only them but u also.......

Know I haven't been around lately, but Best of Luck Bro!!!!

P.S. I'm still doing my thing over at the local studio... Good times.. Living the dream (not that i'll be getting rich anytime soon)... but hey.. I'm about what it is.. And that's, that....

Stay UP!

Good luck

I'm wit ole boy on this one if it aint broke don't fix it. Being different is good but only sometimes Tone so chances are keep it the same for a while then when you get ya foot in the door show em you can switch a up to add more listeners.

See that's the thing about it. The dude hasn't even heard them yet!! They were supposed to take him some stuff they did at home but their computer stopped working. I've heard their stuff before and if they wanna get signed, they gotta do some improvment. That's where ya boy comes in. :D Hopefully i can not totally change them but improve their sound with the demo so they can get in, and i can get in at the same time.

NO; leave them to make violent garbage so that when I come out with consciousness, everyone notices :D haha

Good luck on the advice there, I'm not sure if they'll listen. I've had to do it myself and it is not easy. Only person it worked on is a friend who's a lil younger than me and looks up to me.

You know what I used to put my foot in the door? www.oasiscd.com, I manufactured 1500 cd's a while back (which are now almost all gone), and then oasis had their promoting package that goes along with it, and then along on top of that, you can pay for even more promotion. What they gave along with their manufacturing (which is industry standard manufacturing), was the track of choice, is sent into all major radio stations in the US, also most minor college radio stations, put into online stores, and then brick & moter companies (best buy, target etc), and then on top of that, it was $99 dollars special for 100 posters, so we handed it all out at shows etc... and on top of that radios and producers kept calling. Also, got us a connection, which books large concerts (like 2 weeks ago, it was 6400 people ranging from high school to college attending) and other small venues. Also got connects in that channel 60 & some channel close to 60, like 65 or whatever, xm radio stations. Anyways, you should try oasiscd for it's manufacturing & promotions. I know it's way off topic, but a better image is ALWAYS better for you. Professional pressed cds, sound scan uploads, upc coding, wrapped as usual, up to like 32 page booklets, or those poster/booklets, higher silk screen or whatever resolution of printing full colors, etc.. Not the best in price, but it'll get your music heard.

good lookin fam. Never heard of it before. I'll let them know about it. They can handle all that (pricewise :D ).

That's great!

It's all about networking. Cause if you meet a hot DJ and such, that DJ may know another DJ who knows a producer that knows a big artist and so on....................

The more you get deeper into networking, the better chance of doing a big project...
