Hi everyone, I really love singing I sing almost everyday. I would like to know is my singing that bad, am I singing in key. This is a song I have written and I am demonstrating the way I have it as to how the melody sounds in my head. Please have a listen here:

If you want feedback on your singing, making me watch yer ugly mug in closeup from phone cam via YouTube is not the way to go.

Record something properly.

ok, I made it 52 seconds. If singing makes you happy then do it. think of it this way, a key is a defined point in space, not the entire milky way. Yes you sing worse than bad.

Well, the main thing is that you really seem to love singing, like you said. It's hard to judge (not that I believe music should be about judging anything) someone's singing without the context of music, etc....Keep practicing. If you have a real love for it, you'll take the time to develop.

Thank you so much for the reply.

Thanks for the advice.

I can understand what you've been through for those 52 seconds. Thanks for listening anyway.

Irwin, I don't think anyone would seem like a good singer presented the way you presented it. Singing at almost a whisper into a phone with no accompanying music will never come off well. You might actually be a great singer, but it's impossible to tell this way.

So, don't take our opinions too much to heart. What I would suggest would be get some karioke music tracks and sing over those for starters. You can get a free program like AUDACITY, put a music track in there and sing to that. Buy a cheap mic and you can record yourself over the music. This will give a much better representation of your talent. Don't ever stop singing if you love it so much.

If you want people to listen to your singing your gonna need better production value.
