i was given the creative prodikeys.

is it possible to use this with cubase sx3 as a midi controller until I can buy a better keyboard?

also how would I go about setting it up? is it in the manual? All I have is the pdf manual, I got $200 off my friend and do not have a physical manual. if it is a quick runthrough, could you please give me some instructions, or tell me how to find it in the manual.

Okay... I just did a quick run through of the docs... Keep in mind that I don't own this keyboard... I'm just going to try to get you up to speed...

If you are familar with midi, you know that a "normal" midi keyboard/controller has, at least, a "midi in" and "midi out".

This piece of equipment appears to do its thing ("midi in" and "midi out") via PS/2 or USB cable (i.e. a normal keyboard cable). As a result, I'm thinking that once you install the proper drivers for it you should see it in Cubase's Midi Preferences as a Midi Input...

Here's some links that might help:

Creative's Faq

Creative's Driver(s) from this website for the Prodikeys DM model: "Sorry, there are no Creative firmware/drivers for Creative Prodikeys under Windows 98SE/Windows Millennium/Windows 2000/Windows XP. "

Good luck!
