I just re-mixed this...is it OK?

I did this a few months ago when I first got condensers, so it's the first song I sang into condensers with. I just re-mixed it yesterday. Want to know if anything stands out as not right. Too loud, too low, too anything. It's by no means super heavy, but maybe a little heavier than most of my songs. Thanx

maby just a little L heavy.....? (git levels)

maby put a hi cut on the vox del, starting at about 3K or so

maby turn the vox down just a touch, but that might be just me.

check the edit at 3:11, thare's a pop.

sounds good. :)
 
I like it RAMI. I'd personally like to hear more of the guitars. That's just a personal preference, and you might not want that in your song. I really like the drums, and bass...they seem to compliment each othere well. Voice is good as usual. I just like guitars.... :D I also think you did well with the vocal harmonies....

Thanx guys...yeah, I was thinking maybe the vox were a tad too up front and I have no problem turning up the guitars for this tune, so that might cure 2 things at once. As for the high end, I wonder if I just need to cut around 3k or use a shelf and cut everything above 3k also. Well, there' sonly one way to find out. Thanx guys.
 
i'd say no to any across the board hi-freq cuts.
i was only sugesting for the vox delay.
 
OH! Thanx for clarifying. Just the delay. Right, I usually do cut the high's on the delay so that I don't get those echoing "S"es. Yeah, I might not have done that. Thanx again, Giraffe.
 
Hey Rami, some dude released some pirahnas in the man-made lake near me the other day... pretty crazy. Anyway, that's my pirahnas story... onto the song....

I don't know if you already took their advice and turned up the guitar, but personally I like how they sound in the mix in the intro. The bass part sounds cool too, so that kind of helps give it more presence in the intro. If you do turn up the guitars more, I'd recommend keeping them down in the mix in the intro and cranking them up more for when you're singing to give it more punch. In the chorus and so on... Also, personally I'd mix the guitar solo at 3:30 higher or give it more punch with the EQ. It just sounds a bit flat back in the mix to me.

Alright, I'm done being real critical, don't want to sound negative about the song cause I think this is an awesome song! Listened to your older version a few days ago. It has such a cool/catchy groove going on. Plus it's called Pirahnas, those lyrics just make it cool. I love the sound of the backup vocals too. Good song :D :D

Of course it feels good to have someone tell you your stuff is good, but I love it when I get constructive criticism, that's why I post stuff here. Of course there are people who just LIKE to say something negative yet are the first one's to insist there's nothing wrong with their own stuff, but I've learned to differentiate between those trying to help and those with no clue.

And I almost always go back and at least try what somoene suggested.

By the way, I did bring up the guits since Dogman's and Giraffe's posts, so if you say the guits are fine, then that means they were even lower before. Giraffe also got me to go back and realise that I didn't clean up my tracks. Now they're clean.

What do you mean you were listening to me "older version"???

Yeah I really listen to people's recommendations too, even if I love the song sometimes I don't notice things or just haven't tried something that might make it sound better...

By "older version" I mean I listened to a bunch of your songs on your website awhile back after I reviewed another one of your songs. & you said you remixed it a bit, so I'm just calling the preremixed version the "older version" and this one the "newer version"

I give you credit too, your lyrics are very good. That's one thing I don't have is the ability to write lyrics that aren't incredibily dorky :D
 
Oh I get it, thanx. I thought there were some basement tapes of mine out there being bootlegged and people are getting rich while I rot away in my basement eating no-name brand Kraft dinner. Wait a minute, Kraft IS a brand, isn't it??? Wow! I'm not as poor as I thought.
