I just purchased Wavelab 5. I have two of my rap songs ready, can anyone teach me how to master it, so I can start selling it? Thanks I appreciate it.

Here's a dirty little secret: WL5 has great tools for editing, analyzing, and burning, but really crappy plugs. So first you need to get some decent mastering-type plugs.

Probably a good school. There is no magic plug-in to do it for you. If your serious, you should send it out

you cant be taught mastering just like that man...go to school or get a tutor to teach you..

Oh I bet we could do it right here, on this thread. At least with one song.

ninja, post a link to one of your tunes.

i tried to attach my song but it says
mysong.zip:
File Too Large. Limit for this filetype is 64.0 KB. Your file is 2.36 MB.

also how can i learn to master two or more tracks so they can all be bumped in the car to its loudest without sounding distorted, and all of it to have a residual volume so i wont have to keep adjusting it for each song.

No offense Ninja...But if you have to ask the questions you're asking, I really don't think you're ready for mastering. Don't feel bad, neither are most of us. It's a profession and an art itself. I'm surprised you actually got the help you got (which is testimony of how helpful people are here), but I'm not sure if you're being done a favor.

On the other hand, what would one song hurt? Comeo on, post it. :)

I admit I too was taken aback a bit by his original post... "Could anyone teach me how to master it" isn't exactly... I dunno...

Have you read the manual? It's a great freakin' manual...

With all due seriousness, isn't Wavelab a mastering program? I thought it was. What software is good for mastering?

Any suggestions?

Sure - Those are all good mastering programs.

But the program is the smallest part of the job.

Massive Master, can you master m songs and can I work out some contract with you that when I'm selling the cds on the streets, to be able to pay you back or something.

My accountant (not my wife, although I think she'd have a few words also) would blow a gasket.

I'm an accountant, but I've been drinking too much to care one way or the other :D

Where is this track anyway? C'mon, ninja, our kung fu is the best!

I didnt say anything to the contrary....I was answering a question.
