Wow, you must like them. Can you compare them in sound to something a little more common?
They're 'transmission line' speakers and the sound is very detailed and nice. You can listen for many hours without getting fatigue. Actually all IMF speakers have the same 'color' in the sound, or better no color at all. They're one of a kind.
The company didn't exist very long and they used Kef and coles units.
I've bought a pair of Compact Monitor 2's which are the size of a nearfield, but sound like a NS10 should sound, much more detail and much more lows, but kind of the same 'color'.
I have a pair of Compact 2's that sound like the CM 2, but has a different tweeter which is a tad louder, so you have to cut some highs. I payed 80 euro for the CM2 and 50 for the Compact2.
I also have a pair of ALS40II's which are almost perfect sounding.
These have two woofers which are 'alighned' by the transmission line inside. I'm gonna get another two pairs of ALS40's, surround baby!
And now I've got the RSPM's, for 300, they were $3600 back in the seventies, 104cm high and very heavy!
Look at the IMF website:

They're pretty rare in the USA, but if you find some, get them.
