I have gear and dont know what to do now

I have all this gear a Mackie d8b mixer and PowerMac G4 with Cubase SX 2.0 . Its bros I dont really record music. But now im going to. What else do I need. Im pretty much recording my band which is like a indie synth/guitar rock band. I have the basic mics. Do I need anything else to start recording?

was this setup previously used fro recording? i'm not sure as to what kindof soundcard your mac has but if it has inputs then you are in business. You may want to upgrade the mics for a better recording. For example getting at least one condensor mic for vocals will improve your vocals noticably. a decent choice is the audio technica 3035 or above. i use one and am satisfied with it. There are many choices so check in the microphone forums.
