The chatroom typically has a few (to several) people in it if you can wait up long enough. I usually find people in there from 10PM to 2AM MST which is 12-4 your time.

I thought it was broken, haven't seen a soul in there for ages. But I'm usually not concious at 12:00 - 4:00 EST... If I remember, I'll check it out at 9:00 EST.
