Does anyone know what setting the Delta 1010 should be set at in the router section (monitor mixer or wave out 1/2) so I can record and listen to the recording through headphones? Where do i put the phones in the 1010 and set it up to work?

I have the 2 Studio monitors setup up so I can listen to it loud and in stereo but how can I smoothly go from one to another without Blowing my head off from the blasting feedback.

Practically deaf now,
Rui

you need a headphone amp......the 1010 has outputs but they were'nt intended to go straight to headphones. if you're getting feedback, turn off your mics or put them in a different room away from your monitors.......keep it up and you may damage some of your stuff or your ears man. if you have a mixer, run a pair of outs to it and use the headphone out of the mixer.

outs 1/2 will allow you to monitor your inputs. this lets you hear exactly whats going into the 1010.

That works great - I have a Delta 1010 also. But the BEST solution is to get a small 6 or 8 channel mixer and use it to increase your INPUT capabilities, and get a Presonus HP4 so you can use headphones. The HP4 is a GREAT little 4 channel headphone amp. It takes your left and right output directly from outs 1 and 2 and feeds it into your monitors AND to 4 pairs of headphones, with seperate volume controls for each pair of headphones and your monitors. You can mute your monitors with a push button (but still hear with headphones) so you can record with a condenser in the same room as your recording gear. I have never found another headphone amp that works quite like that and it is an extremely helpful little unit.

I have been wanting one of those HP4's for awhile. I'm betting it will sound alot better than my yamaha 12/4 mixer headphone out. I like that it has outs for a set of monitors and a volume control. It looks like the best deal going for a headphone amp. How long have you owned yours? Just wondering how reliable it is.

About a year. I've had no problems with it at all and use it every day. The one annoyance it has, and it is a small one, is that there is no "on - off" switch. If it is plugged in it is always on. If you unplug it, your monitors and headphones need to either turned off or unplugged from it before you plug it back in or it will "pop" pretty loud. There is probly no damage done, but it is annoying. It's best to use a power strip or power conditioner with it.

Sound quality is very good. No issues there either. Lots of detail and depth. It is also plenty loud. In my opinion it it's the best headphone amp there is for $100. You can even find some on-line gear dealers willing to ship for free.

thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna pick one of those up soon.
