I have been trying not to have to throw any more money at my USB soundcard problem ( since I have no more money) but I gave up and did it anyway... I tried disabling everything on the same IRQ as the USB port and even though I think that helped I still wasn't comfortable so I spent 70 bucks on a ADAPTEC USB 2.0 cardbus card for my laptop... No more pops and clicks in my recordings (yet). Now I can dump this latest project's mix at 24/48 and master. Even think the USB midi device is running a bit smoother...

Also bought a SCSI card for my docking station that rang up 20 bucks less than was priced (swhutimtalkinbout)... Now when I have my laptop on the docking station I can have (1) SCSI, (3) Firwire, (2) USB 2.0, and (2) USB 1.0. All on one measly IBM T22 THINKPAD 900mhz with 382mb memory, 30gb hard drive. SCSI (12x4x32) burner, USB 1.0 burner, 250 scsi zip, 100 mb USB 1.0 zip, Midman 2X2, Edirol UA-5, Sonar XL 1.0, Vegas 3.0, Soundforge, ACID 3.0, and some more shit... If this doesn't make me some money then I gotta give it up and look into a newer hardware DAW... Or just plain give it up...

Anybody else throwing your hard earned shiny pieces at your problems? Wifey not included...
