I dropped my baby bottle!!

It's true. Not my fault at all. The threaded brass insert on my BLUE baby bottle loosened ITSELF from its plastic housing so that when I went to adjust the stand's position, baby came tumbling down landing with a metallic thud against the mic stand's base. The capsule cover is dented, but with a quick "test 1, 2, 3," I didn't notice any difference in sound. I'll be tracking w/ it tomorrow, so I'll know more then.

If the mic's "guts" were damaged, wouldn't the sound be kind of obvious. I hope it's ok. I've only had it a few months, so this is a fairly sad event. Even if the insides are fine, there's still that big, ugly dent. Any words of condolence would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you sterilize it before you try to track with it tomorrow...:-)

That does suck, though. Dented mics lead you to go out and buy UNdented mics, cuz everyone knows that your gear has to LOOK gooooood. Wait, maybe dropping it WASN'T such a bad idea...new gear?

Call Skipper Wise at B.L.U.E. tomorrow and explain what happened.
 
I dropped my radio shack mic today
i wonder iof blue can hook me up

HEY!! me two I accidently threw mine against the side of the house. i wonder if I could get a replacement.

My SM57 kicked my TLM103's ass yesterday when the Neumann was bragging again..I guess it's not the size that matters after all.

heh

seriously tho..Blue should be fine with helping you with this, considering it sounds like a defective piece of the mic was the reason it dropped..make sure they know this..just tell them your baby dropped its bottle.

That sounds like great customer service to me. Rare these days.

ROde was very good about my broken shockmount too..they sent the replacement piece no problem.
