Hey guys, I've been a perfoming musician my entire young adult life and only recently started to focus all my attention on my singing. I will be getting a vocal coach really soon as well but on the mean time..

I'd really appreciate if you guys could help point me on the right direction on what I should focus on fixing with my current level of singing and what type of techniques would really suit my voice as well as the type of music I play?

Below is a clip of me singing I Wont Give Up by Jason Mraz

I'd appreciate your honest comments and feedback, thank you!

I like your voice; it's got a sad tone to it that gives it something special so definitely play on that, and in certain notes it (and the vibrato) reminded me a little of MJ's when he would sing ballads. I would suggest focusing on pitch a little more and maybe giving more variety in your inflection so as to prevent being monotone as you do song after song. I actually think you could do well doing country music if you put a little twang in there which I thought I heard trying to sneak out! :D Just some thoughts! Good job

You've definitely got potential, I liked your voice - a lot of singing is about believing in yourself as well as the correct notes and I see no reason why you shouldn't believe in yourself.
