Me too. But thats because I can play. I was forced to leave a punk band by my bandmates for that very reason.

"you're guitar playing isn't simplified enough, a riff should only have 3 chords" the other guitarist would say.
"it's not my fucking fault the drummer can't keep time. and it's not my fault you only know A5 and G5." I'd reply
"but that's punk rock dude" he'd say
"and here I was under the misapprehension that punk was good. Oh well, back to good ol' metal then"

Punk killed itself. But that's another story.
