Another one produced on the Tascam 424 mkII portastudio.

I tried experimenting with this mix. Not sure how it sounds to you guys, but to me it has a very retro 80's demo thing going on...probably cause I'm using a bunch of 80's and early 90's budget gear. If you like it, gimme a shout out...

And for the record, the wave file sounds sooooo much better than the mp3, but whatever:D It's called "I Can Take It"

No idea why it's cutting off the fade out either...wtfw:mad:

Cool - I thought the vocals could come up a little, or eq the guitar away from the vocals. I usually trim back 1.5K on the guitars and then trim up the same frequency on the vocals to get them to stand out. Just my humble thoughts... :D

Love the keyboard rhythm box sounds - I'd be inclined to remove the bass drum sound though.
The guitar and vocals work together really well.
THe bass line works but I reckon the tone should be much toppier.
The sub bass keyboard sound is good but may need to be panned away from the bass or do some EQ carving (that'd be helper by a toppier bass line).
Really good song matey!

Sounds pretty good. I might recommend doing something with the rhythm guitar part to give it more variety. Maybe fade it out as the song progresses to de-emphasize it, or fad it in (a la Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt") to build up the song.

I love it when people post the stuff they do on their portastudios. These things rock, i want one bad.

I dig it... nice creation man.

I think the acoustic guitar is a bit jarring. Need to mellow it out a smidgen, at least during verses. The song could also use a bit more low end oomph.

I like the song and I think that the treatment is right . Only nit...see if you can eq the drums so that the tick-tick-tick-tick sound is not so close up. It pulls the listener away from the lyric.

Remix!!!!!!!

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

So I took this all in and remixed it. I agree with everyone's comments so far, and this is what I've come up with. It's a little less effects heavy, and a little less high-endy.

I actually think it sounds more "well rounded".

I look forward to anyone's thoughts about the before and after.

It's called "I Can Take It (New Mix)"
