 is what came away feeling like!
This thing rocks seriously. Its like Reason,Live,Sonar(lite) all in one.
The synths and sampler that come with this bad boy are crazy. I have not bought reason 3.0 and P5 v.2 is makin it very very hard to decide if i will.
You have to see and hear it in action     1/2

yeah i just checked out the demo of p5 verson 2 on the cake website. it does look pretty dang cool. Personally, i prefer teh environment and workflow of reason so i went with it. it looks like you can do some pretty cool stuff with project 5 though.

In what way?

I would agree with you - I have Reason 2.5 and Project 5 v1 - I spend more time in Reason but I still find it confusing. I was also on the beta team for v2 of Project 5 but still found it a little clunky...

i dont' know exactly, i guess i liked how the learning process was set up in reason. i liked how to be good with it, one first must understand the instruments, then understand the MIDI world / sequencer. having the instruments look like conventional rack units made it feel a bit less daunting. Mostly though, i like the logic behind reason's sequencer. To be honest i like the editng / working with reasons midi sequencer better than sonars (put on flame suit).

Although i only saw it briefly, i don't understand that loop grid that project 5 has either, it seems bulky and confusing. why not just list the tracks in a browser? I'de definately be up for giving p5 a more fair chance when i have some more time, but right now i'm really into bein creative with reason/sonar.

Fair enough - sounds like you come from a hardware background so that the interface is familiar and re-assuring. It just confuses me - but I do agree about P5 - I still find more use with an acoustic guitar on my lap....

Dinosaur Alert!!

:) Q.

nope it doesn't. the closes thing is its rewire ability to use it with something like sonar. they just link up

Or record loops externally and then bring them into Dr Rex in Reason.
