it says "the computer administrator has disabled editing the registry". however, i AM the administrator, how can i make me able to edit it?!?!

Try logging in as 'administrator' and no password, but IMO you've been hijacked, but I may be wrong. Good Luck.

immediately after i posted that, spyware took control of the system. but, it's spotless now! haha. thanks to:

however, just for future reference...how can I just log in as "administrator"? My only log in option at the moment is "shackrock recordings" and i can only get to it by starting my computer and clicking it! haha

I think,
Control panel>Admininstrative tools>Computer Management>Local Users and Groups>right click 'users' icon>New User and follow form.
(make a password using alpha/numerical of mixed case)
After making new admin./password, write this info down and away from computer. Never use this account for anything but admin duties.
