Bruce,vox,pglewis,

You are all correct, Im serious about my music and that is why I purchased a Mackie board

jlb does have to decide if he is serious or having fun, like I told him a the begining of this thread, "The more money you spend the better the quality will be...."

I dont want to get any one mad at me, I know a little and I like to share that, But in return I have learned alot by being part of the BBS. Trust me dont be offended, just trying to help a newbie out, By the way I have been doing music for 14 years so dont be fooled by the newbie next to my name HA HA HA... Bruce you are a pretty smart fellow about this music stuff

HELLO GUYS...

Hello guys:

this is JLB (I AM A WOMAN) in the music business doing my thing. I have enjoyed all of your comments and I appreciate them and keep them coming. I agree with purchasing good equipment so in the long run I wont be hasseled with trying to purchase something else later. I like Mackie's alot for how they are built. But, I am just trying to get a handle on what I need to purchase so that I can get started, and truly all of you have helped. I will have more questions, on tomorrow for a friend of mine let me use his computer which is just a 133mhz and he has Cakewalk and EMAGIC on the computer I am going to play around with these software programs until I can purchase my MAC. Again , guys thanks and I will be writing a couple of more questions on tomorrow.

...and you should jump in whenever you feel like it!

My tone can come across as "cutting" sometimes but I am harmless............ and if there's something I don't agree with - I'll jump on it, but I don't bite... much...

(Just don't talk to me about improving CDs with a green marker!!!)

I know a few things... but there are a number of pros that contribute here that are outstanding (look at any posts by Shailat, Skippy, John Sayers, Sound Cracker - he bites sometimes ;), Tom Cram, and of course any Sonusman posts) I'm sure I've forgotten some in the list - if so, my apologies (I can't remember EVERYONE!) :D

Cheers,
Bruce

now Buce you can honestly admit that green markers and behringer mixers fall in the same category of getting you excited...

when i read the advice of Carter i just knew your reply had to come... and for a reason of course to many people here already had to suffer from behringer mixers... no personal experience luckily.

and a litlle agitation is what keeps reading all this interresting... to me at least ...

GUHLENN YOU BASTARD..............

...how dare you mention Behringer and green markers in the same thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

uh-oh...

uh...

never mind...

you should really hit the edit button and mask some of those very explicit words!

(mask preferably with a green marker as this helps to capture the stray light which otherwise might make the words visible again... plus it makes your words less harsh and more warm & punchy)

HEY WHAT IS A GREEN MARKER

Okay, what happened did we get side tracked, you guys are suppose to helping me. HEHEHE!!! I have no idea what a green marker is...is that something I need to purchase also. Okay, now I have another problem for you guys. My money situation has complitcated things....so this is what I have at this time and I want you guys to help me build what I have already. Okay...here we go.

I have a (dont laugh) 133mhz IBM PC with the LOGIC AV on the system...(a friend let me borrow it...to learn) I just have to get the book from him. But, I want to build and learn with what I have until I can purchase all the wonderful equipment that you guys are wonderfully refering to. What I was thinking is to midi my O1WPRO to the computer and then purchase a 4channel mixer to help out a little bit...cause right now I have everything but my cassette deck going into my power amp. So, help guys..... I will check back to see what ya say.. Again what is a green marker???
