This thread here will organize this a bit more and alow us to spread around Ideas and communicate between teams. Heres the list of cats I got from the main thread about the compilation

If you dont want to be on either that's cool just remeber this is your music whatever is decided by the powers that be will happen without your input. I volunteer to be on the street team. Let me update that list homie. Some of those you might not know about and I don't want to leave anybody out (so if I mistakenly did let me know).

Also the following artists listed I have not heard anything from so hit me up in email (hammerback1@gmail.com) to let me know what's up or send me a track if it's ready. If you already have good tracks recorded that's cool too. It doesn't have to be new material unless you want it to be because most of the people we might reach probably have never heard anything from you before.

Yeah thanks for the udated list. The main thread though is still the main thread just wanted to seperate marketing communication from submiting tracks to the execs communication thats all.

I'll volunteer to be on the street team. I'm pretty sure if I could sell a few hundred of my own corny cd a few years back, I can definitely sell a few of these now. Hit me up with more info as it's available.

Make sure my stuff reads as "Change" and not Change of POETS. I been trying to get my name changed on this site for a grip.

But make it "Change feat: K-Otic" instead of Soul Intent.

Also, I can definitely do some online stuff. Not sure if I'll have time to do much else. I'll make sure the local college stations get copies though.

Got that....looks like I'll need to make a street team spreadsheet. And I got ya name Change...just wanted to let you know :).
 
Yeah talk to jug earlier he said he would be on the i-net team. I'll wait a few days and then create a spread sheet with names and what not then we can start talking about what we want to do and how much it will cost. Everything that's on my mind at the moment is very inexpensive.
 
Man my time is really jacked now but I will definately push it to those in my sphere of influence !

If it ain't too late I'm a try and hit you with a track by friday fiev. If I can find something good enough. I know these cats is fire with they producing in here ! Hopefully I find somethng good enough to make the cut!

I been in the middle of a moving and trying to get my lil' studio back together and also changing sequencing software so everything is transferred !

ALso in about a month I will be able to add independent artists to the site in my sig so I would love to feature the cd there and sell by the song as well as the whole album!

Ill have my track to you this weekend and I can do both the street team and the internet team.... Sorry Ive been really busy at work and I havent had much time to play in the studio.
 
are we gonna make a website for the cd? i dont know if its possible, but if somebody could make a website where the cd could be ordered then i can definetly do my part as far as advertising, but here locally i cant really sell too many copies. i guess i could go back to the cockitback and sell a few copies there, just let me know. i can sure as hell see what i can do at some orlando and tampa and jacksonville radio stations too. i think anybody that took part in this project should be eager as hell to get the word out there and spread this shit around.

Im just wondering how you can have 3 beat producers reconized on the CD and none of you will be doing any production on my song? I would like to have my credit for my production!
 
That's a count of what we have so far...it's by no means a final list C. So if I don't have it, it's not listed.

hey carter i think you are misunderstanding what is posted. that is the list of general jobs everyone is taking on. the names under producers are the people who are willing to produce tracks for anyone who is interested in getting on the cd. i'm pretty sure that your name will be featured after your song for production credit.
 
I'm not a part of the project, but let me know where you might want me to fit in as far as the distribution/Marketing. I can push it in many areas of Boston...........
 
First of all,

Trizz,
If you think you can push hard in Beantown and maybe surrounding areas, street team would be good. Also, if you're on a lot of different forums/chatrooms that'd be good too.

Carter,
I mentioned before that this is what we have so far. Jug added in something that I meant to add in earlier and didn't get time since I was in a rush. These are the list of producers willing to make or provide original beats for different artists (just in case they're needed). I should add bknot in there too actually (correct me if I'm wrong on that playa).

i havent really even heard yet if this is gonna be an album that we are supposed to be trying to sell or if this is more of a free sampler type of deal. i havent really got any of the details on it. also, what is the answer to my question about the website? is anybody working on making a website for this album. i think that would be the best way to spread the word online...somebody who has photoshop could make a banner and we could all just go to as many places online as possible and use the banner as a link to the site.

A website will be made for this. First thing is to pull together who's on what team. Then we can discuss in more detail what we want to do, whos gonna do what and how much it's gonna cost as far as promotion goes. Right now there arent any details because we dont have an LP we havent gotten to the 20 track max yet and plus there are tracks still in the works for the LP. This thread is so we can start to discuss details on marketing and promotion for this LP. The Sale of the LP right now isnt that important right now in the steps. This is to open up discussion on what are we all going to do to expose this joint. In the end this is what's the most important thing so it should go along with the pulling of the CD together so once it's finish we have an idea what to do next. The price is just a number to show that we put hard work in on this and we felt this is what it's worth. We may hand out more free CD's then we sale really. I'm just a fan of saying something is worth something so the person that does get it for free feels like they are in on something special.

My idea on this as far as the street team is to release singles for the we can set up a single we think would work in our area base off discussion and vote perhaps. Then we can each push that single to the public for free. Like to friends, DJ's, and College Radio Then the next couple of weeks do another and then another. Probably thinking about 5 singles since the LP is 20 songs. If it's a less amount of songs we can go with less amount of singles. Like I said though it will depend on what you feel will work in your area since you know what folks may and maynot like. So it could be alot of different songs used as singles to promote this joint in different areas. Another idea was to get the whole LP into some hands of some A&R's Maybe send it to a few labels. There isnt a limit to what you can do and there shouldnt be one. We could also wear T-shirts with the LP cover on it saying "Have you heard this Album". We could also give those shirts out for free. They dont cost much to make as long as you got a color printer or access to one. Flyers can be handed out press kits can be made man it's just alot of stuff there. These are just idea's I'm tossing out there for the street team. Nothing written in stone just bring your ideas to the table and if you dont like my ideas that's fine if you have an idea we can try that too.


The i-net team should probably focus more on the website since it's located on the internet. Getting that done maybe on the back on the excecs but sending traffic to it will be around the I-net team. We dont need to spam sites I dont think that's the way to go. I think they should though do it through sites that they are affiliated with or folks they are affililated with on the internet. You can push songs to internet radio stations being joints that you guys decide on of course. The site can offer free DL's or a limited time or free DL of the whole LP doesnt really matter at this point as long as it eventually has a price tag. This again is just my idea of what the I-net team could do. I dont have alot of affiliation with the internet that much. So you guys probably have more ideas of stuff you can do with that team.

None of this stuff is easy to do it's takes some dedicated time to do it. If anything I think this LP is well worth it. Theres alot of good talent and experience working on this joint. If we can pull that together in an organized attempt we can do alot with this LP.
