I've been traveling alot, so I pop in and out. But keep on making dudes aware of your progress, as you've been doing! Whenever I make it back home for more than a minute, I'll start applying my creative marketing skills.........

Aiight...I wrote up the website today and I'll probably be working on that this weekend (with cover included) heh.
 
My whole issue with people paying for it is that with so many people getting money on the project with no allocated spot or person to handle the funds to make sure it goes back into the project, why make money a high importance level. Don't get me wrong, from what I've got so far, I think we got some good raw material here that'll sound great once the final touches are put on it.

I think we should just use it to get our music out in different areas and airplay in different areas as well. I think we'll get the money we want in due time, but I see a lot of opens for collaborations and crews to come up. Hell, if I got a deal out of this, I'd be setting up to bring you all in with me at some point. I would hope the rest of you feel the same.

I'd rather make money on my solo projects and do collaborations here and there just to get my name out across the country. Do you guys realize that we've got people involved in this compilation from all over America for the most part? Do you realize the opportunity to get more fanbase we have with just this project. And by the way, I wouldn't be opposed to a Volume 2 in mid '06 or something like that. It's a way for us to either bring new material or get attention to our solo projects.

Who all has AIM? My idea is that we should all agree to meet at a certain date and time and set up a chatroom inside of AIM and discuss everything from top to bottom so shit doesn't get out of hand and we all can move in the same direction with it.

Yeah mos def meeting on aim is a great idea. Aim is a free program if you dont have it you should be able to get it no problem.

On the money issue the funds goes back to execs to go back into the LP. It's just that simple because you are the guys that's putting this toghether we should put most of the money into getting the CD to places where a little bit of money may be needed. Now that's not to say there will be enough money for that made. IMO making money off this really shouldnt be look upon as what this is about. I will tell you from experience alot of money wont be made. No one knows who we are. Like I said before though even if you just sale one you gotta place a tag of quality on it. You dont want anyone to treat this joint like a demo tape. It's good music that's worth something. Like for example you have an art piece that's worth millions. That doesnt mean anyone is going to buy it. It's just that it's worth that much. ya feel me. This is the same thing it's art.

Right now I am in FortWorth Dallas -- n bored to def! im checkin this shit out via hotel room internet tv - dam i wish i ahd a portable studio --lol this comin up week i plan to drop a new track over to u FIE - actually i want to submit my song "come on mami" to this as well - i plan to do i team n street team . . . althoug hi am limited on the street team activities . . . are we gonna have flyers about the website?

I can feel you on that, I just see this going in a direction that it probably shouldn't. We all need to remember that dinero isn't the object. Haven't checked my gmail yet but I will be looking at it soon.

This project hasnt gone in any direction yet we havent even gotten all the tracks in. So we arent going to market the CD? If we are going to market the theirs plenty of ways to do it. This is a marketing promotion thread this is not a thread for money. So folks should take those questions to the main thread. All I want to see in here is ideas on promotion and marketing.
