Sorry, I think the only midi sync HS has (or used to have) is midi clock to an external sequencer/drum machine. You usually need MTC aka SMPTE clock sync for a multitracker which means upgrading to Sonar - then Sonar can slave to MTC sync but can't generate it. If all you want the pc to do is midi sequencing then you only need midi clock sync but as I said, HS can't sync to any external clock. It's unlikely a multitrack can slave to HS midi clock output, I think MTC/SMPTE is mandatory for audio recorders.
This situation pisses me of - there are lots of people who prefer to record audio on a hardware recorder and just want midi tracks on the pc but the entry level sequencers don't support the sync needed.
Your best bet may be to record the multitrackers tracks into HS audio tracks and see if you can line them up. If the recorder and your soundcard have digital audio i/o (S/pdif) and if the s/card can be set to use the incoming external s/pdif clock from the recorder, then you stand some chance of the tracks imported into HS retaining their timing.
