Here's really lame question I'm sure, but it's bugging the hell out of me.
HomeStudio02
How do I cut/copy a section of a track (clip) and paste it into a new track without getting the entire previous track? When I paste i get the portion i've selected with the alt key and curser and the entire rest of the track "hidden" . I don't want the rest of the track. For example, if i want to cut out a piece to make into a groove loop i only want a few seconds of the track not the entire track, but i get the whole thing and it ends up being too large to clip down to size to loop.
When I was using CWX8 I could slice out a section and have it be "free standing" to loop or punch in or whatever.
Am I missing something basic here?
