Listening to the original. I can see why you'd cover this one, Sam. Very cool stuff. This isn't drug-influenced is it? Very cool piece, Fender! Good vocal recording especially. Nice and clear.

You da man Sam!-This is very cool-as usual impeccable mix-with great dynamics throughout, but most of all I'm psyched that you covered F.L.G.--He's been a super cool guy around this forum for a while now, and It came to my attention that he recently had to sell most of his gear :(....So a big salute to you for covering F.L.G.-very cool bro.

Everything sounds cool to me......the guitars sound nice and thick,although they sound just a little different than usual....did you record them any diffferently than usua?Drums sound pretty good and in the pocket...not overbearing....drum loops?

Overall you get a passing grade.:D

Oh,and 5 Stars just for Fenderlikingood be such a big part of the clinic!

That was great. Hey man, how do you get the sound on the scream? That hollowed out, death type scream...it's more than reverb, lol. I need a good Prodigy-type scream for something I'm working on, and I can't figure out how to get that sound.

yeah know... if youd didnt put a bunch of emphasis in your singing it would sound like the singer from man at work? maybe if you had an austrailian accent too? :)

I was listening to their greatest hits cd yesterday, so maybe thats why I think this?

holy shite this is so awesome, man you rock. i realy love the synth stuff, and of course the guitars realy rock which is what we have all come to expect from you. well the vox, this is text metal vox and then some, you truly have some of the best vox on this board sam. i am so impressed that im speechless. holy cow the guitar solo rocks, im listening as im typing this.man i gotta burn this one lol, wanna hear it in my monster home theatre.man i would be more than flattered if did this to one of my tunes.
the mix tottaly rocks i cant find anything with it, the drums kick butt and sound natural and great. awesome stuff here. thanks for sharing. god bless tim pate
 
Pretty awesome version. Listened to both. You definitely expanded on the original. The string or orchestral sections are amazing, and I want to know do you use a 7 string AND tune it down? Its a big fat guitar sound for sure. Wonder what would happen if a hillbilly like me tried to play that way? :D

I love the guitar solo--your solos are so spontaneous.

My only negative comment is that for some reason, I drew a pentagram on my floor, lit candles, started speaking in tongues, drinking warm chicken blood and tried to sacrifice my dog to Moloch--but, hey--it was actually a pretty fun time...:D
 
I'd recognize that telecaster sound anywhere:eek:

the leads on this are totally there... just smacks to the max..

and the screams..

I'm with Crawdad.. a nice cup of goat's blood would taste good about now...

I know why you covered this tune now. This is one of your best. The musicianship is just there. Where it kicks into gear around the min and a half mark...and the distorted screams.

I was amazed..totally. But, I think you need a Marshall V67 mic... :p and a rnc.:p :p :p Maybe even a Mackie:eek:
