How's this recording studio name?

Maybe, maybe not...but it's a mouthful and a PITA to have to type/spell that out in a URL! :D

Not to mention...it looks weird when you read it..."conquerre--------

Why not CRD Studios...crdstudios.com

And then you can expand on the CRD at the website - Conquer Recording Design

How about Zombie Recording. :D

The two Rs right next to each other is what concerns me, too. "conquerstudios.com" is taken, sadly. So is conquermedia.com, and that one is $2,200.

I like crdstudios, so I'll put that one on the list. I'm probably getting way ahead of myself.

I'll see if the guy that is trying to get Deadland going is really ok with me using Deadland Studios.

Gotta expand on the Deadland thing.

deadlandstudios.com is available, but there's a guy in Florida that is calling his place Deadland Studios. On the Facebook page, it says it's permanently closed and the page hasn't posted since 2012.

I talked to the owner yesterday and he's still trying to get the place going. He said he didn't mind me using it, as it's not trademarked or copyrighted, but I'd feel really bad about taking it.

What do you all think? "Deadland Studios" sounds cool. "Conquer Recording and Design" encompasses the whole of what I'm after.

Sigh......

Fuck, whatever. Just choose a frickin' name. It's really not that important.

I hope you spend 1/10 the energy on getting your room treated, your equipment in order, and knowing what you're doing where it actually matters.

Actually, I apologize for that. I should have just un-subscribed from the thread and left it alone. My bad all the way.

Carry on and good luck.

No, that's ok. I'm just indecisive person and you guys are always a big help. Trust me. I'm gonna do my best to get a great sound out of what I have.

I wouldn't use conquer, frankly lots of people may remember the name but they won't be able to spell it and get to your site. The name doesn't matter that much, but I'd be careful about picking something that your average drummer can spell.

Just pick a name and get to work. A good name is cool for initial start up recognition, but ultimately wont matter.

Look at the name Led Zeppelin, it implies basically a helium ballon that will never get off of the ground, or at best, will crash. A catchy, yet stupid name.

Yet it is now associated with one of the best rock and roll bands ever.

Not on the name, but on the value and quality of the product.

You could call your place dickwad studios, and if great stuff came out of there, it would be a success.

So quit talking about it on all the forums, and just get to work.
:-)

If they can spell percussion and Zildjian...they can spell anything. :D

You have guitar players who can't spell rhythm. :p

Thanks for all the input everyone!

I went with "Conquer Recording and Design Studios." It can be referred to in short as "CRD Studios," "Conquer Studios," or "Conquer."

I bought the domain "crdstudios.com" last night.

Hahaha I guess you have a point there. I would have picked on the bassists but I was worried that Jimmy would show up.

I think my all-time favorite studio name was Eargasm Studios (Santa Monica). Very descriptive of the level of enjoyment you should get by listening...
Be careful using CRD that your stuff is good or people will throw a U in the name...
