yah that was my drummer playin solo with no metronome or anythin :) thanks for the comment i just started the mix tonite any ideas on what i should change?
 
Really depends on how it sounds with the music that goes with it.
Work on your mix and post in the MP3 clinic.
 
Post this in the MP3 Mixing Clinic, you'll get more replies. The kick is way too boomy, everything else sounds good though. How did you mic the set?
 
57 on kick 57 over toms and a Octavia Mk-219 condensor overhead to my tascam reel to reel 388 then took it to my pc with my delta 44
 
My opinion is that your bass drums are going to get lost in the mix once you add everything else! They sound good now but they lack attack and punch. You should listen to it with a bass guitar going and see whats happens.

the bass drum needs more punch, perhaps a mic on the beaters, or an EQ change. Also, the toms seem kindof fake, like pinstripe heads. tell your drummer to dry a basic 2-ply if he isnt already.
