How's my mix?

very nice, vocals could be louder and more out front. good tune too.

Nice job overall. I liked the way the instruments sat. I especially like the sound of the bass.

I would say the guitar in the lead break sounded somewhat harsh - lots of midrange in it. The vocals are a bit far back in the mix. Some nice harmonies coming out of the lead break though.

Thanks - I thought that about the vocals too - although I had turned them down not long ago because I thought they were too loud. Any other way to bring them more 'up front' than volume? I tried boosting around the 7000 mark. Also I will do a wide midrange cut on the lead break - try and take some of the harshness out of it. Thanks for your opinions.

Cheers

Malgo.

Couldnt hear the background vox at 0:44
The drums sound far too electronic for my ears. (electronic drums will do that) Guitars and vox are great though man.

Nice song as well!.
Better than I could do.

Unique vocal stylz!Bring em up in the mix.Don't think the elec drums take anything away from this. Some nice panning...It's reminding me of Neil Diamond(Hope that's cool with ya).Lke the Electtric kick in @ 2:11.Decent solo, too, but need some EQing.Gets a bit lost in the mix, unlike the vox which just needs to be brought up.Girls will like you for this song...

Thanks for your suggestions. I had actually lowered the vocals because I thought they were too loud - but on listening again i see you have to struggle to hear them - however I find that if I raise them they again seem to loud - there seems to be no in-between... Also I have tried to do midrange surgery on the solo - both songs are now up at nowhere.com - the newer one is called clouds 8 because that is how many times I had to redo it - I would be immensely grateful for your opinions... especially on the relative merits of each - for example it seems to me that the newer one has lost some of the sparkle of the original, although the vocals are more up front - it's like an endless trade-off - just don't seem to be able to produce the same sound twice :)

Cheers
